2014 World Cup in Brazil

With Brazil hosting the 2014 World Cup, football is coming home. Of course football originally came from Britain but it was the Brazilians that perfected it.

The Brazil World Cup 2014 will happen during the months of June and July and the country is expected to be sold out from tourists far in advance.

Construction and remodeling of the stadia is estimated to cost $1.1 billion and additionally there will be many more millions spent on just basic infrastructure that the country needs to prepare for the event.

The event is expected to see half a million visitors coming to the country and their presence is expected to have a huge impact for those that hold investments in Brazil. Since games are played in several different locations withing the host country, it will give Brazil the chance to really show what they have to offer. This is though to potentially boost a great amount of interest in property investors from overseas.

Unlike when Brazil hosted the World Cup back in 1950, the host cities this time are spread throughout the country and they are the capital cities of their state. This will be the first World Cup being held in South America since Argentina hosted the event in 1978.

World Cup 2014 is going to be held in Brazil’s winter months. Antarctica can cause quite cold weather in the South part of the country while the North part is very rainy and the Central area remains dry. The future stadia have plans of being prepared to accommodate diverse weather conditions that could be presented during that time.

The cities that will be hosting the 2014 World Cup are Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Manaus, Natal, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Salvador, Curitiba, Brasilia, Recife, Cuiaba and Porto Alegre. Traditionally there are only 10 cities but FIFA changed this number to 12 due to Brazil’s size.

The 2014 World Cup will be a huge celebration of football. This will be one to be a part of and be surrounded by the Brazilian fans who are already preparing for the celebrations. Yes indeed, football is coming home and it’s going to be an unforgettable party!
